ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Oil & Vinegar Inverness is committed to making our website accessible and usable for as many people as possible. Good food should be for everyone — and so should the information that helps you buy it.

We are working to ensure this website is clear, readable, keyboard-friendly, and compatible with assistive technologies.

WHAT WE’RE AIMING FOR

We aim to make this website conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, where reasonably possible.

That means we try to design and maintain the site so you can:

  • Use screen readers and other assistive technology
  • Understand content with clear headings and structure

WHAT WE’VE DONE SO FAR

We’ve made a start — and we’re continuing to improve. Current accessibility work includes:

  • Clear page structure with headings and logical navigation
  • Descriptive link labels (so you know where you’re going)
  • Alternative text for product images (where available)
  • Readable colour contrast (where controlled by our theme)
  • Accessible policy pages and contact information

KNOWN LIMITATIONS

We’re a small team and our website uses third-party software (themes, plugins and payment tools). While we do our best, some parts may not yet be perfect.

Known areas we may still be improving include:

  • Occasional missing or inconsistent alt text on older product images
  • Some third-party embedded features or checkout elements that may not behave perfectly with every assistive technology
  • PDFs or downloadable content (if added in future) may not always be fully accessible on first upload

If you find something that doesn’t work for you, please tell us. We’d genuinely rather fix it than pretend it’s fine.
