Our Chicken Rub is a carefully balanced blend of warming spices, gentle heat and aromatic herbs, developed exclusively for Oil & Vinegar. It’s designed to work just as well in the oven as it does on the grill or barbecue — adding depth and flavour without overpowering the meat.

Turmeric and paprika provide warmth and colour, black pepper and chili bring a subtle kick, while herbs like rosemary and thyme keep everything grounded and savoury. The result is chicken that tastes seasoned rather than “spiced”, with flavour that builds as it cooks.

It’s forgiving, versatile, and ideal for everyday cooking — whether you’re roasting a whole bird, grilling skewers, or throwing something quick together midweek.

How to Use

Use as a dry rub or mix with a little olive oil for a paste.

• Rub generously over chicken before baking, roasting, grilling or barbecuing

• Excellent on whole chicken, thighs, wings or skewers

• Also works well on vegetables or potatoes roasted alongside

Tip: For deeper flavour, rub onto the chicken and leave for 30 minutes (or overnight) before cooking.
